Hi! I'm Carlos!

Hello, I'm Carlos

I'm a Product Designer and UX Specialist who's all about creating awesome user experiences. My technical background gives me a unique perspective on how design and tech intersect.

These days, I work as a UX & A/B Testing Engineer at fashionette, where I use my skills in UX research and A/B testing to make sure our products are always top-notch. I'm all about the data-driven approach, but I also love getting creative with design and prototyping.

With over 10 years of experience in web design, email campaigns, frontend development, and UI leadership, I bring a well-rounded approach to UX challenges. From startups to large-scale enterprises, I have collaborated with cross-functional teams on projects of all sizes.

For me, it's not just about making something look pretty (although that's important too!), but also about making sure it works for users in a meaningful way. Whether it's through user research, A/B testing, or just getting feedback from real people, I'm always looking for ways to make our products better.

Thanks for checking out my work, and feel free to get in touch if you want to chat!

Works & Projects

While I'm currently focused on providing the best possible experience for customers at fashionette, I've had the pleasure of working on some amazing projects in the past.
But also, in my free time, I'm always tinkering with different side projects, experimenting with new ideas and technologies.
There are plenty more, but I've made a selection of the most relevant ones:

Jumping on the bandwagon of Artificial Intelligence and image generation, I've created this fun little project. It's a chatbot modeled after the beloved Spanish comedian, Chiquito de la Calzada, known for his unique way of talking and humor.

The functioning of the "chatbot" is quite basic: a simple script checks for certain words input by the user and provides a random answer from a list related to the input topic.

To create this project, I also had the opportunity to practice with AI code generating prompts, so, some of the JavaScript used in the project came from chatGPT (with a little tweaking, of course).

Gifcept is the perfect place for all gif-lovers to save and keep their favourite gifs.

Some years ago, before all our messaging platforms had a built-in gif search, you had to go crazy searching on the internet for that really funny gif you wanted to share with a friend. To solve that, my buddy Dani Lupión and I, came up with gifcept, so he could save all his gifs easily while getting new gifs from others users everyday.

My colleague took care of all the code magic behind the scenes, while I designed the whole interface and experience.

After a major redesign for improved responsiveness, we left it a bit aside to work on some other projects. So it needs so polishing, but hey, it works great and there's plenty of super funny gifs!

Ipsum Generators minionsipsum chiquitoipsum

Lorem Ipsum generators are a very useful tool for designers and frontend coders. It allows you to quickly get a random text that can fill up your designs while you get the final proper content.

To make it a bit funnier I have worked in a couple of these generators:

One of them is the Minions Ipsum. Following the huge success of the movies, I decided to create this fun little project where the random text is filled with the Minions gibberish.

Later, and working together with Gauss Multimedia and Isa Nieto, we came up with the Chiquito Ipsum. A similar concept but using all the funny words from Chiquito de la Calzada.
